Becoming a part of GMBC provides uniqueadvantages to member churches.
A Fast Start
Although each church is a separate entity, part of God’s plan is that we support, encourage and strengthen each other.
Participation in the GMBC provides a way to gain strength by combining with other like-minded churches, giving a mechanism for replicating proven programs and practices. Instead of having to identify and develop services for your congregation, being a part of the GMBC allows rapid implementation of programs that will meet the needs of your congregation. Also, it immediately gives you a state wide forum to share successful practices that you have implemented.
Access to State Wide Church Resources
Many times new or growing churches don’t have access to all of the resources of a larger or more established church. Being a part of the GMBC provides access to a significant pool of resources, much more so than available to any single church. Often, to expand ministries, you need a critical mass of participants. Participation in the GMBC provides a unique benefit in this area. Thriving ministries in sister churches can be used to support and augment your fledgling ministry.
Access to Community
Many community resources are available in Colorado that churches can take advantage of. Yet many of these resources are under utilized because the people don’t know that they exist. Partnership with the GMBC opens up access to a wide range of services, from access to monies available through the Black Church Initiative to mentoring for youth and hospice care for senior citizens.
Access to National Church Leaders
The leadership of the GMBC is widely known and respected throughout the United States. Affiliation with this body gives you entrée to nationally recognized leaders, and positions you to leverage these resources on a national scale.
Addressing the Needs of Today’s Church
Many churches are becoming stagnant because they’re no longer relevant. To be a vibrant, integral part of people’s lives, the church has to understand what is important to them, know where they’re hurting, and then take appropriate action. Increasingly, people are getting tired of a lot of talk but little action. GMBC programs focus on meeting people where they are, and then working to get them where God wants them to be. Time is taken to understand their needs, and then unified action is taken.
Quality Christian Education
“My people perish for lack of knowledge.” Many people struggle in their Christian walk because of inadequate preparation. One of the major responsibilities of the Church is to effectively feed and nurture God’s people, to draw them closer to Him, and position them to effectively witness to others. The GMBC is committed to providing quality, Bible-based education. Classes and seminars are provided that promote spiritual growth, and teach Christians how to handle practical issues and concerns in a Christ-like manner.
Growth
A primary concern of pastors is the spiritual growth of their congregation. But managing the finances of your church and promoting the numerical growth.
Preparation
“How do I get started?” You know that you need to take your church to the next level, but where do you begin? Being a part of the GMBC allows you to take advantage of those who have already “been there, done that”. Answers for those burning questions are available. You don’t have to try to go it alone. There’s a whole state of resources available to make the way smoother.
